Fairness First

Morality based upon religion does not put fairness first and this sometimes results in immoral teachings in traditional religions. The heart of the problem with religion is that it encourages the destructive "us versus them" attitude that is at the heart of human conflict. A major flaw in common religions is that they single out one group of people (us) for which they arrogantly assume the whole world was made to benefit - to the exclusion of others. I.E. Christian and Jewish religious texts repeatedly emphasize that the Jews are god's chosen ones and others are enemies to be destroyed and shown no mercy. Islam is no different. Contrary to the bible's first commandment the Old Testament is a repetitive orgy of violence and murder which includes God's demanding that not just opposing armies but innocent women (pregnant or not), children, and babies be killed. God doesn't just kill his non-Jewish enemies, he again and again becomes irate and nearly wipes out his
